get some help

4

u/FlugonNine Apr 02 '23

Context is everything. You should hopefully realize that.

-25

u/joe_i_guess Apr 02 '23

why would this comment get downed? is reddit in tehran ? bizarre

9

u/9p83fhsa312 Apr 02 '23

Because commenting their appearance is the root cause for the hijab!

-1

u/joe_i_guess Apr 02 '23

comments

if i'm understanding you correctly, the hijab was created because certain people didn't like men commenting on a woman's appearance? do i have that right?

2

u/9p83fhsa312 Apr 02 '23

Are you trying to sound like an idiot?

0

u/joe_i_guess Apr 02 '23

here you have an opportunity to educate someone and you use this opportunity only to hurl insults. remember this as you move forward in life. it can only help you grow as a human. have a nice day

2

u/9p83fhsa312 Apr 02 '23

Sorry, I wasn't sure because of all those idiot comments if you were playing being stupid or if you asked for real.

Women wear hijabs because men have a problem with women's appearance. They think seeing hair is something sexy and beautiful which they can't handle.

Making now comments on how those women look beautiful for showing their hair is therefor not appropriate, because making comments on their appearance is the origin for the hijab!

You understand now?

1

u/mybabyandme Apr 02 '23

Because you’re acting like a degenerate dirtbag

-9

u/joe_i_guess Apr 02 '23

you are not articulating your thoughts on the subject. you are only hurling insults. explain to us why it is wrong to call a woman beautiful. i shouldn't have to ask for this response. use your words constructively please

-9

u/mybabyandme Apr 02 '23

If you can’t comprehend what being a degenerate dirtbag means, I can’t help you

Let me tell you how complimenting works: it's a confirmation of positive things. Complimenting can be done in a polite way, as an observation, without any hidden interest. In our case, as a sign of support...

LE: and i say that the persian women are beautiful. In fact, all the persians i knew, have their specific facial details. And most of them were visually beautiful people.

3

u/9p83fhsa312 Apr 02 '23

You know why the hijab exist? Because men needed to comment women's appearance. You're an idiot if you don't understand, why it's wrong to make a "compliment" to this women's appearance!

2

u/mybabyandme Apr 02 '23

Real incel take

0

u/hazbizarai Apr 03 '23

That moment when you give in to the need of seeing yourself commenting something...

-3

u/aardw0lf11 Apr 02 '23

I don't understand the downvoting at all. If I had used one out of a number of sexist synonyms for "attractive" I'd understand and deserve to get this kind of response. But I didn't.

1

u/hazbizarai Apr 02 '23

You know what you know. people having trouble identifying honesty apart from irony and malevolence, shouldn't be of your concern....

0

u/StunningUse87 Apr 02 '23

They are BEAUTIFUL. Have some respect man.

0

u/StunningUse87 Apr 02 '23

I will say, I never realized how beautiful Iranian women were until I recently started seeing media of them without the hijab. I always kinda just looked them over. My oh my was I wrong 😌😁😫🤭🫣🤫🤩🤩🤩

1

u/9p83fhsa312 Apr 02 '23

Now you understand why the hijab exist. Because men need to comment women's appearance.

u/slurpeetape Apr 01 '23

Good for them. Call me ignorant, but forcing women to wear a headscarf is repressive and sexist. If they choose to do so, nothing wrong with that.

39

u/ezagreb Apr 01 '23

I'll call you enlightened

22

u/BradMarchandsNose Apr 01 '23

Why would anybody call you ignorant for that?

64

u/hanlonsaxe Apr 01 '23

People will often say things like, "it's not your job to say what is allowed in another country or religion" or some variation and say it's ignorant for us to impose our western views on others.

But give people a choice. Want to wear one? Do it. But to be jailed or worse for not seems backwards to me.

Of course on this side of the pond we are not allowing women to chose what to do with their own bodies so I guess there is some hypocrisy but again there I say we should give people a choice.

9

u/NoHandBananaNo Apr 01 '23

Thing is plenty of people IN that country think the same thing.

So youre not trying to make up rules for their country youre essentially just saying, I support the people in Iran who want to be able to choose.

9

u/Snaccbacc Apr 01 '23

Yet there’s enough women in Iran who are tired of being oppressed over stupid rules. So it doesn’t matter if it’s “not your country/culture/religion”

Anyone with common decency would support these women in finally taking control of what they can wear on their OWN body.

3

u/hanlonsaxe Apr 01 '23

I couldn't agree more.

6

u/Snaccbacc Apr 01 '23

That’s not ignorant that’s having a normal fuckin outlook.

5

u/randy_dingo Apr 02 '23

Good for them. Call me ignorant, but forcing women to wear a headscarf is repressive and sexist. If they choose to do so, nothing wrong with that.

Is it a choice if they're indoctrinated from the start?

2

u/FlugonNine Apr 02 '23

Yeah, because continuing to do something is a choice you have to constantly reaffirm, until you possibly don't and choose differently.

or backs down

7

u/glorifed Apr 01 '23

Idk, doesnt seem like they want to end this in grace or retreat. Guess we'll see.

1

u/Small-Palpitation310 Apr 01 '23

only saying it would be an acceptable course of action, at least in the short run

9

u/CaptianArtichoke Apr 01 '23

They will just go into hiding for a few years and eventually resurface supporting Al Trumpada

35

u/Happypappy007 Apr 01 '23

Overthrow the mullahs

1

u/hazbizarai Apr 02 '23

Or just demonstrate them that their teaching is simply a moral guide and people will always freely adherre, with the hope of being better humans.

18

u/Moal Apr 01 '23

Love to see it, but I wish they blurred out the women’s faces. The IR will try to hunt them down. :(

12

u/NipplesOnMyPancakes Apr 01 '23

Nope. Way too many women doing this now. Being public about is part of the point. They have to show no fear and not act like they are not doing anything wrong for the movement to spread.

8

u/Word_Iz_Bond Apr 01 '23

What's the name of the song?

9

u/MelodyMaster5656 Apr 02 '23

The Hanging Tree. It’s from the book/movie series The Hunger Games, and in that series it’s sung by rebels fighting an oppressive government. Pretty fitting.

4

u/hollenmarsch Apr 01 '23

the hanging tree.

17

u/purrpect Apr 01 '23

Beautiful to see progress in action.

15

u/Important_Tale1190 Apr 01 '23

They need all the support they can get. Imagine if every woman burned every hijab.

9

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Strong and Brave women I see.

3

u/IBleedMonthly18 Apr 02 '23

Love seeing these brave women. But I also feel a little nervous about their faces caught on video, which is sad.

13

u/1-11 Apr 01 '23

Where's the freakout?

4

u/chipthamac Apr 02 '23

lol, it's April fools, read the subs name today.

5

u/Moss81- Apr 01 '23

Good. Fuck that shit.

5

u/losttimy Apr 01 '23

When they are not wearing a hijab, their physical beauty comes out more. And it seems uncomfortable to wear it everyday.

2

u/MetalPandaDance Apr 01 '23

Wouldn't this tiktok just identify dissidents to the government?

2

u/Professional-Neck755 Apr 02 '23

"you must wear wear this rag on your head because imaginary figure says so" religion is so weird

5

u/Bearvibe Apr 01 '23

Fuck anyone who tells you what to do because their form of religion says so.

3

u/Vonnielee1126 Apr 01 '23

I hope you win!

5

u/Elileoko Apr 01 '23

Kinda creepy to film people like that, when they've no idea...

3

u/Omegabird420 Apr 01 '23 edited Apr 01 '23

Don't know where you're from in the world but filming people in public places is legal in both U.S and Canada so it's not a particularly abnormal thing for a lot of people on reddit(Reddit is very American centric, that's why I named these two country).

This kind of footage(when it's professionally filmed )has also been used in documentaries for ages,so it's not a new thing either. And with how the footage is shot,i'm pretty sure the person camera/phone is in plain view.

3

u/Chapped5766 Apr 02 '23

In my country, posting footage of people'a faces online without their permission is illegal.

1

u/Elileoko Apr 01 '23

I'm not from North America, in my country it's legal to record people but you're not allowed to share the footage on social media or other without their consent.

-1

u/TotalChicanery Apr 01 '23 edited Apr 02 '23

Not true. You can share footage of strangers online all you want. Supreme Court has ruled you have no expectations of privacy while out in public. Now if the video was not taken publicly like in the comfort of someone’s home, that’d be a different story.

Edit: I’m wrong! I thought he said “I’m from North America”, not “I’m not from North America”! My mistake, total brain fart! Lol!

5

u/ImBrokeNowBoi Apr 02 '23

They explicitly said in their comment they aren’t from North America.

1

u/TotalChicanery Apr 02 '23

Oh, for chrissakes! I thought he said “I’m from North America”! How the hell did my brain not register that “not”?! Sorry! Brain fart! Lol! Just disregard my comment! Or should I just delete it?? 🤷‍♂️

2

u/svguy_sj Apr 01 '23

Iran sucks. Very brave women

2

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Ruined by the song

1

u/throwawayreddit6565 Apr 02 '23

Is it possible for tik tok dickheads not to edit in the worst possible sounding music every time they make an upload?

1

u/AmazingPINGAS Apr 01 '23

Meanwhile people claim that wearing it empowers you. I can see that in a country where you are allowed to take it off.

-1

u/bhbull Apr 01 '23

Iran and Iranians are awesome.

0

u/TheMadIrishman327 Apr 02 '23

Not a public freakout.

You love to see it. Humankind will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.
