Doc Rivers has accumulated at least 30 challenges by now, right? That’s how it works yeah?

Welp… these fans really are depending on Embiid and Harden to perform in the PLAYOFFS so too bad for them
4
u/DayOne15 76ers Apr 01 '23
Maybe we’ll lose in the second round but you guys will be long gone by the end of the first round. So have fun with that

It's not a surprise for any fans we're bad, we were a lottery team 2 seasons ago lol
You've got Embiid's entire playoff history as a disappointment

Well the good news is that the Hawks are also losing by 17. Hopefully I didn't jinx it.

There's no need to be closing out that close Maxey
2
u/gustriandos [PHI] Eric Snow Apr 01 '23
He didn’t touch him
1
u/marvolonewt Rockets Apr 01 '23
Whatever the case is, Sixers were up by a decent margin. Just a light contest is all you need at that point. Any more and you're just asking for a foul to be called.

Harden gonna be really bald in like two years sorry buddy

Always cool to see Thaddeus Young in the building. I loved watching that dude in his Sixers days.

1

a joke. don't be upset Scottie will be the better player in 3 years (he'll be Magic 2.0 and embiid will be in a retirement home)
4
u/pagonator 76ers Apr 01 '23
Koloko
1
u/theuncleiroh Raptors Apr 02 '23
i actually really like koloko. he's got a ton of upside, and even if he never builds on it, a lob threat / versatile energy length big fits in great for a team w a lot of big wings / undersized bigs

u/always0k Apr 01 '23
That Scottie Barnes move looked like a travel in real time. Wish they showed a replay
5
6
u/theuncleiroh Raptors Apr 01 '23
scottie looks so ready to be taking 15-20 shots per game and acting as the primary ball handler. no need to scrap for a couple extra wins w fred and siakam as our focal points when they lower our potential so much

Raptors strategy of foul and not get called for it is very effective
4
u/northernjigby Raptors Apr 01 '23
Embiid's strategy of offensive fouling and getting a defensive foul call isn't going to work in the playoffs

Just realizing Embiid wears 21.
Any chance it’s inspired by Duncan or KG?

Duncan

u/always0k Apr 01 '23
Respect. Game recognize game
1
u/HumperMoe 76ers Apr 01 '23
Embiid always gives his respect to the great, especially Kobe and MJ which is clear with how he emulates them so much and watches all their film.

Moving screens are so inconsistently called I can almost see the logic on an off ball screen. The Raptors possession right after that Barnes set a moving screen that got him a post up mismatch without a call

What happened with siakam shooting threes. Didn't he get a lot better? Is he shooting less or just not making as many.

Flop but it was a foul, tough call

Some of you have never sniffed a basketball court. A full arm extension when your momentum is already backwards can and does dislodge you

u/p00kbear Raptors Apr 01 '23
I think he actually tripped over Fred's foot a bit and then the pushoff made him lose balance.

The play by play person is fine but the ex player dude stumbling over Dylan Thomas cliches is horrid
3
u/CC8826 NBA Apr 01 '23
I agree, Kate is fine, she's no Marc Zumoff of course. And yes Alla is really not great at all, Marc was a lot better and keeping his homerism in check. But what the hell do you mean by Dylan Thomas cliche? I see he was a poet? I'm illiterate lol
3
u/Strange_Blues Raptors Apr 01 '23 edited Apr 01 '23
I don’t even remember the play, a steal or a block or I dunno. He pulled “do not go gentle into that good night” to describe it. Wasn’t nearly his worst call tonight though. I don’t like Toronto’s announcer either Tbf but they arent this bad.

Honest question, what’s stopping the NBA from implementing an advantage rule like they have in soccer? Toronto fucked and Philly bailed out by the shot clock violation

I feel sorry for Sixers fans, having to watch foul bating and flopping multiple seasons after "the process" has to be the worst stretch of boring basketball any Fanbase has had to suffer through.

Watching one of the most dominant big men of the modern era has actually been pretty great 👍
1
u/tanzarian-sanc Apr 01 '23
He could be great for sure, almost half of his points coming from questionable calls flailing like paper in the wind.. wouldn't call that dominant. Hopefully Maxey doesn't catch the Embiid, harden flopitis he could be really fun to watch once he leaves for greener pastures.

Raptors players love to hack Embiid like no one else
9
u/skoondawg Nuggets Apr 01 '23
Bro Embiid pivots the ball on every drive trying to cross arms with the defender. He literally seeks the contact. It’s just as bad the rip through, the league needs to crack down on that shit.
