Hey I'm an asian daughter who was admitted to Umich. My father seemed to be proud of me and said "that schools is where students from US who got 3.9 at a HIGH SCHOOL IN THE US go." I got straight A pluses at an international school in my home country and got straight 4.0s at a CC in the US. So I told him that I did the equivalent, but he told me "No, UMich is where students go after receiving 3.9 at A HIGH SCHOOL IN THE US unlike you did." He said receiving 3.9 at a US high school is a much much grateful achievement compared to community college or an international school. Is that true? Or can I be mad at him? He's not talking to me for 2 weeks after I showed my annoyed feelings.

Every time he gets caught, he always changes his device passwords. He then tells me “I promise to stop” but words mean nothing without actions at this point. I’ve been wanting to bring up an accountability app but money is an issue at the moment, so I was thinking of an open device policy before doing so. Mind you, my phone (only locked device) is always available for him if needed, meanwhile he changes his devices because apparently it’s my fault for looking (when tbh it’s not even hidden that well to begin with). Anyways, how would I be able to bring this up? I know a lot of PA’s get defensive when it’s brought up but what are key points I can say to convince him?
